Our history

Terranor was formed in 2019 after carve-out from NCC, a process that began as early as 2018. In 2019, NCC consolidated all road operations and maintenance activities into a single company with subsidiaries in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway. In November 2020, the Swedish and Finnish subsidiaries were acquired from NCC by Mutares, which in December 2020 renamed the Group to Terranor.

In January 2021, Terranor launched a restructuring program to transform into a profitable stand-alone business, and at this time the Company’s vision was defined. In May 2021, Terranor also acquired NCC’s Danish subsidiary, Terranor A/S. In 2022, Terranor had a large influx of new contracts and had a revenue of more than BSEK 2. In February 2023, the Finnish subsidiary Terranor Verte Oy was founded with a focus on environmentally friendly maintenance and construction. In March 2023, the Swedish subsidiary Terranor Infra AB was founded with a focus on infrastructure, mainly in the planning and execution of groundwork and construction projects. The subsidiary offers solutions in infrastructure projects, including groundwork and construction as well as the development of charging infrastructure.

In January 2024, Terranor Signa AB was founded with a focus on safety services for road users and road workers. Terranor also acquired two construction transportation companies in July 2024, Wilda Transport och Entreprenad AB och NU Entreprenad AB. Wilda Transport och Entreprenad AB currently constitutes Terranor Norvia AB, and NU Entreprenad AB is also intended to be merged with Terranor Norvia AB during the fall 2025. Both Terranor Norvia AB and NU Entreprenad AB are players in transportation services, with expertise in the operation and maintenance of roads in Sweden.
